Professional's Choice: Blizzard RockLite RGBAW
Bemidji, Minnesota – Local inspirational Christian country group member Kent Dudley and his band “Bended Knee” recently held their first national CD release concert to announce their first album, “He Gave Me a Friend”. The band was told by a mutual contact to hire NLFX Professional to handle and oversee the entire production for sound, stage, and lighting. The man behind NLFX Pro, Ben Stowe, carefully selected 16 Blizzard Lighting RockLite™ RGBAW Par cans. RockLite™ RGBAW LED Par cans feature 36, 3-watt Edison® red, green, blue, amber, and white LED’s for a superior and complete color mixing gamut with a 25 degree beam angle.
When asked why he chose RockLite™ RGBAW par cans Ben said, “I like the RockLite™ RGBAW’s because they are bright, efficient, and have good color. I can use the amber and white LED’s for good skin tones, while still color mixing with the RGB, plus I get some really awesome hues of purple with the amber diode. I often mask out the DMX channels for the amber and white away from the RGB ones, which allows me to essentially use each can as a dual purpose instrument.” Ben continued, “We had a low ceilings and limited truss space, so using as few fixtures as possible was essential to preserve sightlines. For the style of music Kent Dudley and “Bended Knee” plays it is very important that you can see the performers face. Much of the music is very emotional and Kent draws a very close connection with the attendees at his concerts and the lighting is essential to that.”
We also spoke with Shantel Dudley, manager and also singer of “Bended Knee” what she and other members of the band thought of the RockLite™ RGBAW par cans in use at their event. “Everyone we talked to loved the concert. We had about 750 people attend, and everyone was impressed with the lighting, sound and the event as a whole. We could not have been happier. It exceeded our vision for the show. The lighting effects were impressive and the entire evening went off without a single glitch.”
Shantel and Ben were both quoted saying, “We will definitely use Blizzard Lighting again!”
