The Puck™ vs. The Puck3™
McVey Tent and Expo, from Appleton, Wisconsin recently did an interesting hands on lighting comparison between the original Blizzard Puck™ (RGB) and The Puck3™ (RGB) fixtures to determine which would work best for their tent lighting project. Lighting the 20' x 30' tent were 8 of the Blizzard Puck™ RGB fixtures and also 8 Puck3™ fixtures. They were installed around the perimeter of the tent, mounted at the eave which was 7 feet above the ground. Check out the photo gallery and you will see the difference of brightness between the two fixtures. Much thanks and credit goes out to Peter McVey for these photos.

The Puck3 Unplugged™
The Puck3 Unplugged™ ~ Brighter! Lighter! Smarter!
The Puck3 Unplugged™ features all of the same great features as the Puck 3NX™ with the addition of an internal rechargable, field-replacable lithium-ion battery system.
Redesigned from the ground up to be brighter, lighter, stronger and smarter than the original Puck3, the Puck3 Unplugged™ builds on the original’s runaway success and adds more of everything that made The Puck3 so popular! With about 10% more output thanks to optimized electronics and optics, quieter fans, and extra protection for the fixture’s 9x 3-watt Edison® Edixeon™ Tri-Color LEDs, the Puck3 Unplugged™ offers a ton of features! Plus, it retains the DMX layout of the original Puck3 as well as its input/output setup for easy interoperability!
And, take full advantage of Blizzard’s wiCICLE® wireless DMX system without the need for external power thanks to the wiCICLE enabled DMX jacks! An innovative design provides power to the system directly from the fixture’s DMX jack, meaning even fewer cords and less setup time.
An LED control panel and power daisy chain connectors make it flexible and perfect for uplighting, concerts, truss warming and virtually anywhere you need lots of color for notalotta green!
The Puck3 Unplugged™ features 3 and 6-channel control modes which means it works great with any type of controller, including popular 3-channel easy controllers. Plus, the built-in 4 character/4 button LED control panel allows total control over the fixture, including sound active and standalone modes, display invert and service hour readout.
Once you compare it to other fixtures on the market, you'll realize that now more than ever... there is no comparison!

San Diego Events Lighting, with Q12's and Puck 3's
Here are some fabulous pictures of an event done overlooking Petco Park in downtown San Diego, California which Blizzard Puck3™'s and Puck Q12™'s were used. The Ultimate Skybox is a venue that overlooks Petco Park, and Brian the photographer captured it beautifully. These pictures were provided to us by Maria Harman of San Diego Events Lighting Company, which is located in Chula Vista, CA.

Walk 'N Rock for Kids Benefit with KISS and The Puck3!
KISS played at Raley Field in West Sacramento, CA on Sunday, May 29th 2011 as part of Walk 'N Rock for Kids, a benefit event that raised money for local charities.
They have always been easily identified by their members' face paint, flamboyant stage outfits, fire breathing, blood spitting, smoking guitars, shooting rockets, levitating drum kits, stunning light shows and pyrotechnics.
But this time something extra was added to the mix... The Puck3 from Blizzard Lighting!
